Rotarians n friends Keeping Fit (Gold Coast n Tweed) D9640
Everyone is invited to join this club, you can be a Rotarian, a Friend of Rotary, or anyone in the Gold Coast and Tweed communities. In fact anyone, anywhere in Australia or the World is welcome to be part of our virtual community.
“Rotarians Keeping Fit (AU)” parkrun running club was created in Jan24, to encourage Rotarians and friends across Australia and the World to undertake regular physical exercise. This includes running, walking or jogging, and volunteering if you like. PS – don’t forget your dog is welcome too.
It has been found that there is a strong connection between physical exercise and improvements in mental health resilience and social wellbeing.
So far all our members have participated in over 600 parkruns.
So, you are all invited to join the “Rotarians Keeping Fit (AU)” parkrun club and to participate in your local parkrun, held across Australia and the World at 7am every Saturday morning. Bring along your friends too.
Note you can be a member of up to 5 parkrun clubs – so please let’s make this club your choice too.
Outside of Australia, it is easy to setup a Rotarians Keeping Fit parkrun club in your country.
Local communities are encouraged to set up their own social media page for “Rotarians n friends Keeping Fit” Facebook group, like this one, to encourage your community to join in.
